How realistic is the preview?
On a clear, well-lit photo of the area, the result shows placement, scale and how the design follows your shape convincingly. It is a decision aid — the final tattoo is made by a human artist, and the two will not be pixel-identical.
Does it replace talking to a tattoo artist?
No, and it should not. An artist will adjust a design to your anatomy, your skin and how it will age — things no preview accounts for. What the app does is let you arrive at that conversation knowing what you want.
What does it cost?
The app is free to download. Generating previews works through an in-app purchase, with no subscription.
Which body parts work best?
Flat, evenly lit areas photographed straight on: forearm, upper arm, calf, shoulder, back. Curved or shadowed areas are harder.
